Individual therapy offers a space to explore what is happening internally and in your relationships, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

We explore how early relational experiences may be shaping how you feel, cope, and connect today.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You may be experiencing:

  • anxiety or emotional overwhelm
  • low mood or self-worth difficulties
  • relationship or attachment challenges
  • childhood emotional neglect or developmental trauma
  • nervous system responses such as shutdown or hypervigilance

What you may be struggling with:

You may arrive in counselling with experiences that feel distressing or hard to manage, such as grief, childhood trauma, anxiety, stress, low mood, or low self-worth.

Together, we take time to gently explore these experiences, creating space for you to understand yourself and your patterns with greater clarity and compassion.

We look at:

• your emotional experiences: how you make sense of them

• the relational or behavioural patterns that feel stuck or repetitive

• the ways your past may still be shaping your present

A central part of this work is the therapeutic relationship itself, a space where you can feel seen, heard, and met with consistency and respect, often in ways that may not have been available earlier in life.

Individual Therapy:

I work with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, low self-worth, and the lasting impact of developmental trauma and emotional neglect.- Together, we explore how early relational experiences may be shaping how you feel, cope, and connect today. Alongside talking therapy, I may integrate somatic awareness and Parts Work to support a deeper understanding of both emotional and bodily responses.

TRAUMA-PROCESSING APPROACHES

  • The Rewind Technique
  • The Rewind Technique is a structured trauma-processing method that helps reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories without requiring you to retell the details. It is delivered over two back-to-back sessions, allowing the brain to process the memory safely and effectively while keeping you grounded. This approach can be particularly helpful for intrusive memories, flashbacks, and trauma that feels "stuck" in the nervous system.

  • The Flash Technique (EMDR-informed)
  • The Flash Technique is a gentle, EMDR-informed method that allows distressing memories to be processed while you remain focused on something positive or neutral. It is designed to keep you regulated throughout, making it suitable even for clients who find traditional trauma work overwhelming. Flash can help soften the emotional charge of difficult memories without requiring you to go into the details.

If you’d like to explore working together, we can begin with an initial conversation. It’s a chance to ask questions and get a sense of whether this feels right for you.
